What is the difference between STANDARD, HEPA, and ULPA filtration?
SUB-MICRON PARTICLE CAPTURE

All Atrix filters capture sub-micron size particles. Just how small is a micron? Well, it's about 1/100th the width of a human hair! With an Atrix vacuum cleaner and filter, you can be confident that whatever you are vacuuming stays inside the filter and is not blown back into your environment.

FILTER TYPES & DEFINITIONS

  • STANDARD-  Capable of capturing particles as small as .3 microns (µm).

  • HEPA-  Stands for High Efficiency Particulate Air. This means a filter is certified capable of capturing 99.97% of particles as small as .3 µm.

  • ULPA-  Stands for Ultra Low Particulate Air. This means a filter is certified capable of capturing 99.999% of particles as small as .12 µm.

FILTER CONSTRUCTION

Atrix cartridge style filters consist of pleated media that is potted inside a hard-shell plastic enclosure. Filters are designed to be disposable- they are not intended to be emptied and reused as this could lead to personal injury or site recontamination. Replacement filters come with the necessary closures for sealing used filters prior to proper disposal.

Atrix vacuum cleaners and filters are intended for dry material only- they are not suitable for liquid spills.
