The internet is a great source of information for wholesalers that can possibly meet your merchandise requirements. Simply type in your browser’s search box for any wholesaler that is near you or one that ships merchandise to your place at low cost. Buying Groups

Check your local community if there are any buying groups that you can join or tap into that would provide you with wholesaler information. Take note that you don’t have to limit yourself to the local buying group, if there is any. You can also join online buying groups to help you out.

Trade Shows

Wholesalers always make it a point to join trade shows in the hopes of attracting more customers, which is why this is probably one of the best venues for you.

The number of participating wholesale companies gives you a chance to see their products up close and compare them with other commercially available merchandise.


Contact the manufacturer to see if they are willing to sell their products at wholesale prices even if you are just beginning your business. Take note of the allowed minimum order.

Some manufacturers only sell their products through distributors and they’ll be upfront about this. They, however, would willingly provide you with the contact information for the nearest distributor in your area.


A great source of wholesale merchandise; however, be sure that you do your due diligence. You don’t want to get blind-sided with some of the complications that may arise if you are having a product shipped from outside your country.


Closely linked to manufacturers, distributors do offer items at wholesale prices but with a bit of price addition since they also need to make a profit. If you only need a very small amount, you might want to contact a distributor instead of the manufacturer.
